Here at the Spotless Group we're so proud to call South Gloucestershire home, there's always so much going on and fun new things to try. With this in mind we've put together a list of events that are coming up over the few months which we hope you'll enjoy.

Bristol Zoo’s Eggstravaganza
Sat 8th April – Sun 23rd April 2017
This Easter half term, Bristol Zoo invites you to join them for an Eggstravaganza. The zoo will have a variety of additional activities over this period, including an adventurous giant egg trail around their award-winning gardens, creative crafts in their activity centre and egg-citing fun for all the animals.

St George’s Day Celebrations at Yate Heritage Centre
Sat 22nd Apr
Features the best of English style entertainment including Morris Dancing, brass bands, folk, historic re-enactors, traditional crafts, workshops, refreshments, community stalls and much more.

Pucklechurch Scarecrow Trail
Sun 30th Apr – Mon 1st May
Pick up your scarecrow trail map and clue sheet from the church, explore the village of Pucklechurch, guessing the names of the scarecrows as you do so. Return your clue sheet with answers by 4pm on Monday 1st to be in with a chance of winning a £50 prize for most correctly guessed scarecrow names.

Iron Acton Mayday on the Green
Mon 1st May
Join the friendly Village of Iron Acton for Maypole dancing, live musical entertainment, dog agility display, Tae-kwon Do display and modern/traditional dancing performances. Plus market stalls, food and fully licensed bar.

Hooray for Hollywood
Fri May 5th – Sat May 6th
Join the Sodbury Vale Musical Comedy Club for Hooray for Hollywood, a scripted revue with songs from the golden age of musicals. Featuring songs from The Sound of Music, Easter Parade, Singing in the Rain and many more!

Vintage Jumble Sale
Sat May 20th
There will be all sorts of vintage treasures to be found at prices starting from just 50p & most are under £10. Homewares, textiles, toys, books, ephemera, clothing & much more….something for everyone….you never know what you may find! The hall will be full to capacity with tables piled high with bargains galore, so come along & relive the days of the good old village jumble sale.

Cheese Rolling
Mon May 29th
The famous and old tradition of chasing an 8lb cheese down a steep hill first over the line wins the cheese, 4 downhill races, 3 mens 1 womens, and a mixture of not so dangerous uphill races, under 14s and adults, who dares wins.

Twinning visit from Cesson
Friday 2nd June
The twinning association aims to foster friendship and understanding between the people of Sodbury and the people of Cesson in France. A group of visitors from Cesson will be visiting the area Friday 2nd to Monday 5th June. Please contact Pam Pearce on 01454 323702 if you are interested in getting involved.

Weds 7th June
Zara from Zara's Chocolates will be sharing her experience and knowledge of chocolate with you. For all those chocolate lovers, here is the opportunity to explore the tantalising world of single-origin chocolates.

Chipping Sodbury Festival
Friday 9th June – Sunday 18th June
Ten days of entertainment and events for all the family.

Yate Rocks
Sat 24th – Sun 25th Jun
Outdoor live music in Kingsgate park. Bring the family and a picnic and rock with Yate.

Charity Fun Day
Sat 8th July
The Cross Hands Pub in Winterbourne hosts a charity fun day including a live band, bouncy castle, BBQ, Face Painting, Local Ciders and cakes.

Let us know if you go to any of these local events. Much better to get out and about rather than staying in to do the cleaning. After all, that's our job ;-)
